Rabia Aqel
Some people have hobbies. I have decision matrices. My 10k pace, dinner for friends, the next perfume — everything gets a spreadsheet. Everything.
hi
I’m Rabia. I can’t stop applying engineering rigor to things that don’t need it.
Chaotic, but structured. I train — there’s a treadmill at home so the 10k survives work-from-home days. I cook, genuinely well. Breakfast is non-negotiable and has never once been skipped. The coffee is filter, made properly. Health, aesthetics, perfume, economics — researched like there’s a grade attached.
There is also a day job — senior developer at Vendict, an AI-native GRC startup in Tel Aviv, by way of Check Point and Tipalti. It’s good work. It gets this one paragraph.
Off the charts: film festivals, music that runs from classical and jazz to pop and punk without apologizing for the transitions, travel measured in weeks rather than weekends, and a dark sense of humour.
The long-term plan is simple — converge on the greatest version of myself: super healthy, rich in the impact sense, unhurried about it. It may take a few more iterations than projected. Convergence is convergence.
currently — july 2026
based — Tel Aviv.
method — spreadsheet first, decision second.
this month — ETFs and compound interest, as concepts.
friends ask about — sunscreen, dinner, what to buy. answers run long.
day job — still Vendict. still one paragraph.
someday (manifesting)
The research is, as always, ahead of the purchase.
a watch — beautiful and an investment; both, or neither. the shortlist rotates monthly.
an espresso machine — will retire the filter with full honors. until then, the filter wins on ROI.
a robot vacuum that also washes — the automation of boring chores continues its careful rollout.
